Our Minister
Rev. Dr. Donna Byrns, Sr. Minister
A student of metaphysics for over 25 years,
Rev. Donna brings a well founded knowledge of spiritual principles
to this ministry serving as our Sr. Minister for the past seven years.
Ordained in 1984, she understands and teaches soul evolution, and the
power behind the unity of body, mind and Spirit. "The mind and our
feeling nature, united with Spirit co-create our reality," and
Rev. Donna instructs us in the practical use of this power.
She firmly believes the strongest principle is Love, and she strives to
establish a community based on unconditional love and acceptance.
Her goal, she says, is to create an environment where each individual can
be supported and loved as they discover their own magnificence as a beloved
child of God.
She is an active member of the Ecumenical Council of Pasadena
Area Churches, serving on their Board of Directors. She serves the Association
for Global New Thought as a member of the Advisory Council, and is also an active member of the International New Thought Association.
She brings wit and enthusiasm to her Sunday lessons, as well as to her classes.
She has two adult children, Bill and Beth, and two granddaughters, Amanda and Alex.
She currently lives with a furry little "man," Bud E. Byrns, Esq. a West Highland
White Terrier whom she absolutely dotes on, and whom can often be found sleeping
under her office desk.
When she is not ministering at the church, she is deeply
active in the Peace and Non-Violence movement, and promoting the Dinner of
Compassion Program for ending world hunger.
